Grotto of the Seven Sleepers

Ok, quick summary. Seven "yoots" living in Ephesus under the rein of a pagan ruler were asked to sacrifice at the temple of the royal family. Being "good" Christian kids they fled to the nearby hills and fell asleep in a cave. They awoke and sent one kid back into town to get some food. He quickly discovered that they had been asleep for 130 years and there was now a Christian on the throne. The cave where they slept became a shrine, they all became saints, a chirch was built in the cave and the seven boys, who all lived long lives, were buried in the church. These are the ruins. The white "chits" are apparently prayer chits.
